A: In these cases, the sufficiently high starting pressure is given asa percentage value of the final expansion, in order that values which arefeasible with assembly technology can be achieved with small bearings inparticular. In the case of larger bearing diameters, individually specifiedstarting pressures can prevent adjustment between the start and end position ofthe hydraulic nut, particularly with a taper ratio of 1:30. The same alsoapplies when selecting higher reductions in internal clearance or finalexpansion values.
